The inconvenience of 'inspiration'
I am often about to fall asleep as words begin to fill my mind's eye.
And it is then that I must drag my determination out of bed, to the notebook by my head and write whatever it is flooding into my thoughts.
The times that I have told myself "write it in the morning", are the moments when the words begin to replay, like a lyric of a song I only know the beginning of the chorus to.
Over and over and over it sings - a clear message telling me to "write this down!".
So I write, regardless of the time, where I am, what I am doing...
When inspiration strikes, I have learnt that I must listen and act no matter what.
Because inspiration is a gift; one you must simply not ignore.
